Top 3 Artists Under Capitol

The Beach Boys

Beach Boys Walk of Fame

Beach Boys’ Star on the Walk of Fame

Let’s cap things off with one of the most iconic bands (or Boy Bands) of the 60’s.

The Beach Boys signed a contract with Capitol Records in July 1962. They released their first studio album named “Surfin’ Safari”, which included on the Billboard Top Charts for a whopping 37 weeks. Yes, boys and girls, 37 weeks.

That’s how iconic this band is. They still remain to be popular not only with the Americans, but from all the parts of the globe. Oh, and they are inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on 1988. They’re like the Backstreet Boys of the 60’s. Just kidding.

The Eagles

The Eagles

The Eagles Is Still Kickin’!

“Look at us baby, up all night. Tearing our love apart.”

I bet $20 that you sang this part while reading it. Of course, you know that song because that’s from the Eagles!

The band was formed in 1971 by Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner. They are inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988 and sold more than 100 million copies in the United States alone.

If you don’t know the Eagles, you can listen to their hit singles that include:

  • Tequila Sunrise
  • New Kid in Town
  • I Can’t Tell You Why
  • Desperado
  • Love Will Keep Us Alive
  • One Of These Nights
  • Hotel California
  • Heartache Tonight

Rest in Peace Sir Glenn Frey, your awesome music will be always in our hearts.

The Beatles

Abbey Road

Something’s Missing, Right?

This list is not complete without Liverpool’s Finest and Rolling Stone’s Number 1 Artists of all time.

John, Paul, George and Ringo made walking down the streets look so freakin’ cool. No artist in the world can do that like they did!

They are the best selling music artists of all time in the United States and Britain. They have the most number 1 hits in Australia, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden and Norway.

They are more famous than Jesus as John Lennon said. He must’ve taken some LSD while making that statement. But nothing can change the fact that they are the best band we know of to this day.

Comment down the artists that you think that should be included in this list. Hope you enjoyed reading this. I’ll see you guys next time!

  • Capitol is one of the most successful record labels, ever. Period. Countless stars from that record label, even the late great Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole.
